The brainchild of our well-travelled chef Stefano Criber, Passione captures the quintessential spirit of Italian cooking, where every dish is a labour of love, a work of art and a true expression of passion.

Step in and discover the culmination of 3000 years of proud food tradition, painstakingly crafted by our chef who hails from Abruzzo, the oldest city in Italy. This is the true Italian way, inspired by the bustling kitchens and marketplaces Chef Stefano grew up around.
With this same passion, he has spent over a decade perfecting his two favourite signatures offered at Passione:

400˚C SCENTED
WOOD FIRED PIZZA

Harkening back to the Italian tradition of making pizzas by hand and baking in brick ovens, our wood fired pizzas are fired up at 400˚C. This high heat ensures better heat distribution and caramelisation of ingredients, infusing a natural smoky aroma.

ABRUZZO CHITARRA
SPAGHETTI

Always fresh, always handmade, never pre-packed. This is the creed Chef Stefano lives by when making his famous pasta from scratch daily. One must-try variant available only at Passione is the Pasta ala Chitarra, a specialty of Chef Stefano’s hometown Abruzzo. Made with a guitar-like instrument, it offers a broader and more porous texture that absorbs sauces thoroughly for a richer flavour.

OUR CHEF

A veteran chef and true blue Italian,
Chef Stefano Criber has been cooking worldwide for over 20 years.
He enrolled at a young age into Villa Santa Maria,
an Italian culinary school world famous for producing chefs who cook for royalty and dignitaries. After five years of learning under the tutelage of masters, Chef Stefano began working professionally in his native country before serving in numerous countries including Luxembourg, England, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Chef Stefano has also won two awards in the Malaysian International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2016 for Innovative Food and Wine Pairing.
